Bingo in Oklahoma

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a precedent setting decision by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. Since that time, twenty three of the thirty nine Indian bands of Oklahoma have introduced gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the gaming laws, and today operate 10 gambling dens of their own.
